In this episode, we explore what to do when our plans get shredded by Reality Department… It would be around two years ago now that the long years of eldercare in England were slowly coming to a close, and likewise for the long years working mostly unpaid helping others develop their enterprise-architectures. At long last, change a-coming in the air. Both of those changes were opening up new freedoms at last - even though though also meant that I would have to find somewhere new to live.
Just another example of when things fall into place, the place falls apart. I always thought limbo was a dance which originated in Trinidad and was popular at a wake., and I was never supple enough to partake. Dance has always been food for the soul and if it can help in keeping us all same then I am all for it.
Hopefully your parole comes through soon so that you can resume normal activities, we can all live in hope.
Thanks, Robert. In this case it's more a metaphoric dance rather than a literal one, but the same principle applies... :wry-grin: And yeah, 'parole' is a good description: large parts of this do feel like a self-imposed prison - being immunocompromised means I have to take this mess much more seriously than so many others seem to do. Acting responsibly to a pandemic is not a small change...
"Acting responsibly to a pandemic is not a small change" Agree wholeheartedly on that, I have a cerebral palsy son and that has meant that we have needed to withdraw from normal society to a large extent to ensure that he is not exposed in any way. It has been a tough number of months until we all received the vaccine, but the doubts still leave a niggling doubt. My comments on the dance were pure sarcasm, but keeping a balance and remaining responsible during these times could be seen as a tap-dance by outsiders. Agree yet again that this is by no means a small change.
