IMO, additionally, we people also would practice more sustainable lifestyle that is in sync with nature, planting trees along with river belt, build or regenerate the old water tanks, source of water, conserve soil etc are in urgent need.
Yeah, you've had a couple of thousand years more practice at this than we have - kinda suggests you might actually know what you're doing by now? :also-wry-grin:
Tom, nice suggestions to tackle global issue. Here in my place, we have already installed large solar plants - like 4000 MW...that would be helpful for industrial or transportation needs. Also, some part of our region in karnataka, government offices would work only from morning 7 am to 12 noon.
Thanks for this, Arvind. It sounds like your Karnataka region is a lot more advanced on this than most of the West - though no real surprise on that, of course... :wry-grin:
Government of India, with the help from private partners formed the consortium for India's sustainable and green energy needs. As part of this work, they have identified large barron lands for solar and wind energy plants throughout India. But my state Karnataka leading that initiative with almost 20K MW power produced and used in domestic and industrial use.
Tom, I am really hopeful, most of the world including west, would really embrace the sustainable energy. In fact Germany, Nederland got wonderful technology around this need.as I write, many German companies actively collaborating in large scale projects.

Again, good to know that you-plural seem to know what you're doing. I wish we did over here...

Agreed on that, Arvind - would be good to see that start to happen, or at least happen a lot more than it is at present.

Tom, if you get a time, please see documentary on India's renewable energy initiatives by CNA.
Thanks.
